Nashville, Music City Motorplex Race Report 2008

Going in we are tied for forth in the Championship Standings, the "Double Uno" is ready for our next challenge. Music City Motorplex is rich with history as well as being notorious for beating up tires on long runs.

Practice

We had a plan, we didn't look to put a big number on the board and started on tires with a considerable amount of laps. We went back and forth on several adjustments before settling on a set up.

Qualifying

We didn't make a mock run but felt comfortable to know where we were in terms of overall speed and made a solid run. We rolled out 9^th.

Race

The key here was to try and save the tires as long as possible. Easier said than done, this quickly made for a long night of racing. It seemed as if the majority of the field struggled with tire wear. Soon enough, so did we. We managed to bring home a Top Ten Finish and locked us in fourth for Championship Points. Right now the biggest challenge will be going to Adirondack, which is an extremely unique race facility that resembles nothing I've ever race on, but we are ready for the challenge.
